Goodbye College

Tuesday, April 25th, 2006

Well I just went to my official last college class of my life. Now it’s only final exams that’s holding me back. I still have no job, so come the end of May you may find me living in a cardboard box on the Strip somewhere. Goodbye my fun college life. Goodbye classes and homework forever. Goodbye drinking and the bar scene. Well maybe this last one won’t change, I forsee that one sticking around for quite sometime. Goodbye my tiny apartment just off of greek row. Goodbye friends new and old. Goodbye Boone State. Goodbye Stillwater. Adios.

FADA

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

What is FADA you ask? Well FADA stands for Friday Afternoon Drinking Association. Every Friday afternoon me and my friends get together and start drinking earlier than usual. Tomorrow we are meeting at 5:30 over at Roosters for happy hour.

Now as you can tell it’s a very prestigious and elite group. It requires initiation and regular attendance of meetings. Ha ha, not really. If you want to be in FADA just show up and start drinking and you’re in. But I’m not gonna lie we just might haze you by forcing you to take an undisclosed amount of shots or bonging five beers at once. But once you get past that, you’ll be a regular. You should join us, we always have a great time no matter where we are at. I’m gonna try and make it all night and close down Murphys, anybody else in?

VOTE!

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

Tonight at 5:30 there will be free pizza for Ad Club members at the Hideaway. And we will be having elections for our president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. My friends Danielle and James are running for president and vp! So come vote and eat some free Hideaway pizza!

Corpus Christi Here We Come

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

Well the AAF team will making our way down to Corpus Christi to present our ad campaign in the district competition. We’ve all been working very hard on this for two semesters. So we are very excited about it finally being done and getting to present it to the judges. After that it will be a huge weight lifted off all of our shoulders. Unless of course we win the district competition (which we are so gonna do) and then get to go to the national competition in San Fransico. I’ll be taking Jack (our garden gnome) down there with us as our mascot. (inside joke) And our hotel is right on the beach so I will be jumping into the ocean at some point on the trip. Wish us luck, me, Erika and Scott are all on the team.

Final Projects

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

It’s that time of the semester again where all final projects are due soon. I still have a lot of work to do in three different classes. I’m designing a self promotion poster for the Graphic Communications class. I’m making it into an 80s rock tour theme. I’m really liking it so far, but it has a long way to go. I’m really pumped about graduating and not having to do anymore homework or studying. I’m also excited about getting to have a normal social life once again. Maybe I’ll actually have time to get to go visit all my friends back in Tulsa now. I think a few of them are coming to my graduation so that will be a lot of fun going out to the bars with them afterward. Hey maybe my grandma will even join us! Just kidding.

Oh May 6th you could not get here sooner.

The Library Fountain

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

You know how there are those certain “crazy” things that you want to do before you graduate? Well I accomplished one of mine this past weekend. I’ve always thought it would be funny to go with a group of friends and jump in the fountain in front of the library and swim in it. Well, I did it. And we had so much fun laughing at ourselves. So now every time I walk by the library I’m reminded of the blast me and my friends all had that night. And I giggle to myself, thinking “ha ha I’ve been in there.”

This is another thing that I recommend you do. 2am on a Saturday night…..no ones around. :)

My Birthday Weekend

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

Well, my interview went really well on Friday morning. After that I went over to my brothers place and he took me out for lunch, then we just hung out for awhile. Later that night I met up with a bunch of my friends in Bricktown for dinner and a night out at the bars. We all had so much fun! Saturday night me and my friend went to the Caroline’s Spine show at Joes. It was a pretty good show. When I got home that night I got into a fight with my doorframe and I now have a blackeye, but thats an entirely different story. Sunday I drove to Tulsa to have dinner with my parents. All in all, besides the eye, it was a really good weekend.

This next weekend I’m going with my boss to the NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway. Yeah, I’m gonna go mullet hunting! This is not something that I would normally do, but you can’t knock it until you try it right? Oh well it should be a good time regardless.

Intramural Basketball

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

This semester I’ve been playing on a co-ed intramural basketball team. This week is the playoffs. We started out the semester by losing our first two games, but the rest of the season we won all of our games. Tuesday night we had our first playoff game and we won by 30 points. We just played our second game earlier today at 4pm. We lost. Oh well it was still a lot of fun playing and some great exercise. I’m kind of sad that it’s over but at the same time I’m kind of glad because I will have more time to do other things. I highly recommend joining an intramural team if you get the chance, they are so much fun! I think me and my friends are going to start up a softball team when the time comes sometime next month.

Intramural: one of the things that I will miss when I graduate.

Spring Break

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

Well I’m back from break and it was not long enough! I went to Colorado with a bunch of my friends. It was so much fun! I had never been to the mountains before so it was amazing, I couldn’t believe how beautiful they were. We rented a condo in Breckenridge. Ten of us sharing a condo with 16 bottles of liquor and who knows how many cases of beer equals a guaranteed good time! One day I went snowboarding, I had never been before so needless to say I had a bruised tailbone and had faceplanted I don’t know how many times. But it was still fun and I had finally started to get the hang of it. I got to know some of my friends a lot better and even made a couple new ones. If you’re ever in Breckenridge and want a cool bar to go to, go to the Gold Pan. We went there on St. Patty’s Day and had the time of our lives. I think that our group was the loudest and craziest group in all of Breckenridge. After the bars we decided to go sledding! I don’t think that I have ever laughed so hard in my life! This trip was for sure the best I’ve ever taken and would do it again in a heartbeat! It’s kind of sad though because that was my last Spring Break ever since I’m graduating. Oh well, I know I’ll still go on more awesome trips with my friends in the future.

Mid-terms

Thursday, March 2nd, 2006

It has come to that time during the semester when it seems like I have a test in every single class in the same week. It sucks because I don’t really have time to study for them either. I get to be a loser this weekend because I have to spend Friday night and all day on Saturday in the labs. Our book goes to print next Friday so its crunch time.

Here is a beautiful picture of me from last night in the lab at 1am.

Yay for AAF for making me go slowly insane!

I’m sleep deprived.
