I have an interview with Citadel Broadcasting tomorrow morning. Ack! A real job? And if I get it I have to move to a different city again? I’m not ready for this. Well I’m ready, I just don’t want to be ready. But my brother does live there so that would be cool to get to be closer to him again. I’m going to stay in the city after my interview and hang out with him for a while, then later that evening a lot of my friends are going to meet me there so we can all go out for a night in Bricktown. Can’t wait it’ll be so much fun! Then I’ll be coming back to Stilly on Saturday and Caroline’s Spine is playing at Joes that night. They’re a really cool band and I’m excited that they’re coming here. I went and saw Nine Inch Nails the other night. It was a really good show!
No going out tonight, I have to wake up extra early to make it to my interview on time.

So, I finally have my resume done. I sent that and my cover letter to Citadel Broadcasting Company in OKC because they are hiring full-time Account Executives. Doesn’t hurt to try huh? Next step is posting my resume on 7 of 10. There is also this ad agency in Arkansas that I might apply for. I really have no desire to live in Arkansas but the job seems really cool and fun, so we shall see. I also have some friends that live there so that would be kind of cool. I just really have no motivation to actively seek out jobs right now, which sucks because it’s crunch time. Can’t I just stay in college forever? Hmmm….maybe I should go to Grad School. Ha…yeah right.

This semester I’ve been playing on a co-ed intramural basketball team. This week is the playoffs. We started out the semester by losing our first two games, but the rest of the season we won all of our games. Tuesday night we had our first playoff game and we won by 30 points. We just played our second game earlier today at 4pm. We lost. Oh well it was still a lot of fun playing and some great exercise. I’m kind of sad that it’s over but at the same time I’m kind of glad because I will have more time to do other things. I highly recommend joining an intramural team if you get the chance, they are so much fun! I think me and my friends are going to start up a softball team when the time comes sometime next month.
Intramural: one of the things that I will miss when I graduate.

Well I’m back from break and it was not long enough! I went to Colorado with a bunch of my friends. It was so much fun! I had never been to the mountains before so it was amazing, I couldn’t believe how beautiful they were. We rented a condo in Breckenridge. Ten of us sharing a condo with 16 bottles of liquor and who knows how many cases of beer equals a guaranteed good time! One day I went snowboarding, I had never been before so needless to say I had a bruised tailbone and had faceplanted I don’t know how many times. But it was still fun and I had finally started to get the hang of it. I got to know some of my friends a lot better and even made a couple new ones. If you’re ever in Breckenridge and want a cool bar to go to, go to the Gold Pan. We went there on St. Patty’s Day and had the time of our lives. I think that our group was the loudest and craziest group in all of Breckenridge. After the bars we decided to go sledding! I don’t think that I have ever laughed so hard in my life! This trip was for sure the best I’ve ever taken and would do it again in a heartbeat! It’s kind of sad though because that was my last Spring Break ever since I’m graduating. Oh well, I know I’ll still go on more awesome trips with my friends in the future.

It has come to that time during the semester when it seems like I have a test in every single class in the same week. It sucks because I don’t really have time to study for them either. I get to be a loser this weekend because I have to spend Friday night and all day on Saturday in the labs. Our book goes to print next Friday so its crunch time.
Here is a beautiful picture of me from last night in the lab at 1am.

Yay for AAF for making me go slowly insane!
I’m sleep deprived.

Yup, I’m still stressing out. And most likely will be up until spring break. Being in the labs until almost four in the morning sucks! The book for our ad campaign goes to print in 10 days. 10 days. So we’re all freaking out, but everything is starting to slowly come together. The next week will be pure and utter hell. Zero sleep, man I can’t wait.
On a different note, I went to the Coldplay and Fiona Apple concert last night. I think that it was the most amazing concert I’ve ever been to. Coldplay is amazing live! In my eyes they even beat the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters concert I went to a long time ago, and thats really saying something.
Well after this class I will be meeting with my creative group. I’ve got my caffeine pills handy. Hopefully I will get some sleep tonight.

I need a drink. A strong one at that.
These past couple of weeks have been very stressful. I cannot count how many times I’ve had to bite my tongue to prevent myself from saying things that are better off left unsaid. Therefore I am starting my weekend off early by going and drowning my sorrows at Joes tonight.
I haven’t had hardly any time at all to get my resume all straightened out. And not to mention zero time to work on my creative resume/porfolio that I want to start sending to ad agencies by the end of March. But I did figure out how exactly I am going to have to produce them, which will save me a lot of money in the long run but it is going to be very time consuming.

Ah yes, a strong drink and the bar scene, the cure for everything.

Well I’ve decided what I’m going to do for my creative portfolio/resume. Now it’s only finding the time and the money to produce it. But I do have the ideas and can see it in my head, so that’s a big part accomplished and will hopefully my ticket out of this state to New York City. Yes, that’s right New York. I’ve decided for sure that’s where I what to go come May. Now it’s not where I would want to live for the rest of my life, but I see it as an awesome staring point for a career and a great experience. My friend Amy has been pondering New York also. That would be awesome if we both wound up there, especially since it’s so damn expensive to live there, maybe we come be roommates. I think I would sell my car too, not like I would really need it there now would I?
I’m going to Tulsa this weekend. Some much needed family time and seeing my friends back home. Can’t wait!

Well my friends it has been a crazy busy week. All of my classes are in full swing with projects already due. In AAF we are constantly meeting and brainstorming. I hardly have any free time. I am also playing intramural co-ed basketball, it’s a lot of fun. Tomorrow is one of my good friends birthday. We are all going out to eat at Kyotos then hitting up the bars in our little black dresses, it’s going to be the perfect way to unwind from this crazy week! It seems like the only time I’m ever at my own apartment is to sleep. Does this mean I still have to pay rent? I mean I practically live in the Journalism building and the library this semester.
And now I will leave you all with a picture. This is me with some friends at the Ugly Sweater Christmas party that we threw last semester. Good times!

Whenever I want to find out if some of my favorite bands are coming to town, I check out Pollstar. It lets me know who all is coming near here and also gives a complete list of all the places a band is going.
