Hello everyone! My name is Erika and here is a little information about ME!

I am from a family of seven children; I have four protective brothers and two sweet sisters. I know most people think this is a rather large number but for me it’s comfortable. I am the third born oldest girl. I was born in Oaxaca, Mexico but raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My father is from Mexico and my mother is from Kansas. So, all I can really say about growing up in a multicultural family is that it’s CRAZY!

I have two nieces! I love them both very much. Sabrina is two and a handful; however she is the smartest two- year old that I know. Samantha is our little baby, she is barely three months. A thing that you all might find crazy is that my brother pierced Samantha’s ears. I guess he was doing it the Latin way.

I am a 23 year-old transfer student from OSU-Okmulgee. Yes, Okmulgee. This crazy little town is where I received my associate degree in applied science and it is also where I learned the art of photography. So, now I am at OSU Stillwater where I will be receiving my degree in advertising. I currently work for the univeristy’s marketing department as one of their photographers.

I am currently involved with the OSU American Advertising Federation, National Student Advertising Competition. Wow, that’s a mouthful! AFF has become my life this semester. I am so involved that I think and dream about it all of the time. I am on the research and creative team. I have a good group of team members who I am very proud of for their hard work and dedication. We really want to win this year.

I am a very active person, I like to always be doing something. I enjoy running around Boomer Lake, working out at the Colvin, pilates and recently mountain bike riding. I also enjoy reading; however, this never happens due to my busy schedule with work and classes. I love art, music and culture. I think it’s great to learn about other cultures. I like to travel and hope to do more of it when I graduate.

I am currently looking for a summer internship so if anyone has any leads, I would greatly appreciate your help.
