My Career

Ok, so I have been studying photography for years now. At first I thought it was a fun hobby, like painting or drawing. But as time went on and my love for photography began to grow, I realized that I wanted this to become a major part of my life. I even thought of making a career out of photography.

When I was younger I thought I wanted to travel the world for National Geographic and photograph things that are unseen to the average person. I want to have adventures and meet different kinds of people from different cultures and backgrounds. As I grew older, I wanted to work in New York or Los Angeles. I wanted to photograph beautiful models and work for some big magazine like Vogue or Cosmo. To me, this kind of a job would be excited and always on the go. As time went on, I grew as a person, and as a photographer and decided that I wanted to pursue comercial photography and eventually have my own studio. This inspiration came to me after my wonderful internship in Tulsa.

Well, here I am in college at OSU. I am not any of the above. Well, at least not yet. I am still taking photos which is the good thing but I am not just concentrating on photography. I want to be able to offer more than just photography. This is the reason why I am an advertising major. I hope that my diversified background well help me land a solid, yet enjoyable job.

Through all of this, I have realized that it’s OK to go from one place to another. It’s important to do this early on life so that you can find that perfect thing for you. It’s just taking me some time to find my “thing”. Wherever I end up, I just want to be happy.
