Portrait of Mom
This is a portrait of my mother. I had to promise to do a good job in order for her to model for me. I think I did a decent job. A lot of people don’t believe me when I tell them that this is my mother, especially when I tell them that she has seven children. Yup, that’s my momma!
I shot this in our home so my model was very comfortable. I had her wear a light colored shirt so that she would stand out against the dark black background. The hat is an added touch for a little bit of additude.
Again, very simple lighting in this photo. I used one electronic light to brighten up her face. I shot this with a Hasselblad medium format camera and Fuji 100 speed chrome film.
