Audio Toast
This is a toaster that I shot for a graphic design student. He was creating packaging for a product that was called “Audio Toast”.
This was a very challenging shoot for me; however, in the end I was very satisfied with my results. Since this toaster is literally like a “mirror” and you could see the entire studio in it, I had to build a tent out of scrims around the toaster. I had to leave a tiny opening for my lens. The toaster and the CDs were shot separately and composited together in photoshop.
This image was shot with a 4×5 camera that had a digital back attached to it. It took me a total of 10 hours to shoot this image. The most challenging part was getting the right angle, and lighting it to look pleasing.
