Bryce Avary is Rocket Summer. Check this out:

Aside from the fact that Bryce Avary’s talent as a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and live show performer is phenomenal; aside from the fact that after touring the US, Canada, Japan, and Europe relentlessly, making several quality records, all while writing everything, singing, and performing all instruments on each album, Bryce has proven himself to be one of the hardest working artists in music for years now.

That’s right, this guy does it all. His first album “Calendar Days” was awesome and he just recently came out with his second album, “Hello, Good Friend.” I have spent many countless hours sitting around listening to this guy while drinking a few beers. So check it out.

Dogg in the Doghouse http://www.jb3623.site/students/mhubert/2006/04/27/dogg-in-the-doghouse/ http://www.jb3623.site/students/mhubert/2006/04/27/dogg-in-the-doghouse/#comments Thu, 27 Apr 2006 16:10:25 +0000 Baba ganoush Music News http://www.jb3623.site/students/mhubert/2006/04/27/dogg-in-the-doghouse/ snoopWhen I first started listening to rap, I was big fans of OutKast, Tupac, and Snoop Doggy Dogg. Thinking back on it now, it was kind of funny thinking that I was all about the rap music. I would say though, that rap music has change throughout the years. Before the music was mellow, had a flow, and had a message in most of the songs. Now the music is mostly, what Lil’ Jon would say, “Crunked out.” Seriously, I hate listening to soungs about spinners, grills, and laffy taffy.

But, not to get off subject, Rolling Stone recently ran this story about Snoop Dogg:

West Coast gansta rappers Snoop Dogg, the Game, Kurupt, Soopafly and Daz Dillinger have all been named in a $22 million civil lawsuit filed April 12th in Los Angeles. The suit, brought by Richard Monroe II, claims that a group of men, including Soopafly and Snoop’s bodyguards, mercilessly beat the twenty-five-year-old after he jumped onstage during an Auburn, Washington, concert last May and attempted to put his arms around the superstar rapper.

I know that for awhile there were a lot of rumors about Garth coming back to tour, especially sense he released his “Lost Sessions” CD.  This will not happen anytime soon.  When I went home the a couple weeks ago, my mom had Tivo’d the Oprah where Garth was a guest.  He discussed the topic of him returning to the stage and he simply said he had no intentions at this time because of his family.  But, he did say that once his kids are older and if there was still the chance, there could be a good possibility for him to come back.
