Bose Systems

April 4th, 2006

BoselogoI can not wait until I have some “exposable income.” I seem to get real excited about all the technology in the music industry. Especially when it comes to listening to music. Bose has been the leader in music technology for some years now. This weekend I went to Kansas City. I was stumbling around the plaza when I came to Sharper Image (what I like to call… “the Man Store”). To make a long story short, I went over to the Bose section and started listening to the Bose QuietComfort headphones. These things are unbelievable. The headphones are noise cancelling headphones, that enhance the music by draining out the noise around you. I was in love. I soon glanced over to the price of these bad boys… Holy Smokes.. $299. Well my excitement went to sadness. I know the technlogy is awesome, but if I was to buy these headphones I would be carrying around about $600 of audio equipment in my pocket (Ipod Video + Headphones). I believe this is a little rediculous. Please… someone make this technology affordable.

I was sitting around the other day, pondering about life… like usual… and I was wondering where everyone gets there music preferences from. I know for me personally, I grew up singing songs in the car. My parent’s were obviously a big influence on my first impressions of music. As far back as I can remember, I have been listening to Country music. After that I became a big fan of Aerosmith (obviously rock genre). Read the rest of this entry »

Good Study Music

March 28th, 2006

If you’re like me you need no distractions when studying. This task is a lot harder than it sounds. I can get distracted for 30 minutes from a ticking clock in the back of the room, but when I finally get focused I do end up studying quite well. To get focused quickly I pop in my headphones. I tend to be very picky when choosing what music I can listen to and study. I don’t want anything with words, or anything I can hum along to. But I do want the music to be somewhat interesting. Usually I throw in some techno (like Paul Oakenfold), maybe a good wind symphony, or a little Enya here and there. All that music is great to listen to, but I think I have stumble upon my new favorite. STRING QUARTET REMIXES. When I was surfing around on the internet, I ran into a string quartet melody that was dedicated to bands like Fall Out Boy, Incubus, Coldplay, Dashboard Confessionals, U2, Metallica, and Queen, just to name a few. I really have been getting into the Fall Out Boy stuff. This music is relaxing but also interesting… I definately recommend listening to some tracks if you get the chance.

It was awesome!!!

Monday night was awesome. Let’s just say Fiona is a very angry woman. Other than that, Coldplay by far the best concert I have been to. During the show and as we were leaving all I could here was people talking about how the concert was 100 times better than anything they ever expected. I agree. Read the rest of this entry »
