4-18 Episode of 8th and Ocean

Tuesday, April 25th, 2006

On last week’s episode of 8th and Ocean, Tracie gets very upset that she isn’t getting hired for modeling shoots and Talesha, the only other black model the agency has, just landed a Maxim photo shoot. She is 25 and some of the people at the agency are telling her she is too old. Teddy begins to really like Heidi and Britt thinks it is very strange that he would like her and Heidi when they are so completely different.

Later on in the episode there is a dinner with all the models and Irene and then they all go out afterward. Things seem fine between Teddy and Heidi until she starts flirting and dancing with a lot of other guys. Teddy’s friends ask him why his girl is doing that and he gets upset. Later the models get in the hottub and discuss Heidi’s behavior. Soon after she and Teddy get in and they stop talking about it. Adrian tries to tell Teddy that its unacceptable how she is acting but Teddy seems to not want to accept it.

4-20 Episode of The O.C.

Tuesday, April 25th, 2006

On last week’s episode of The O.C. Seth and Ryan get ready to visit Brown and Berekely. Kirsten takes the boys to the airport and is upset that Sandy doesn’t go with her to take them. While Kirsten is at the airport she sees Ryan’s ex-girlfriend,Theresa, with her baby boy and thinks it might be Ryan’s. Seth still hasn’t told Summer he didn’t get into Brown, and he plans to somehow get in while he is on this weekend trip.

Meanwhile, Marissa is going to the same school as Ryan, which is kind of awkward, and is also dealing with breaking up with Volchok. Kirsten goes to Sandy’s work to talk to him about Theresa’s baby and whether to tell Ryan and Sandy says not to. But, Kirsten tells him anyway and Ryan comes home early to see Theresa.

While Summer doesn’t know it, Seth is at Brown also and he runs into Anna from a couple of years ago. Summer and Anna used to fight over Seth but now they are all friends. She finds out that Seth hasn’t told Summer he didn’t get into Brown and suggests in the end he apply to the Rhode Island School of Design with the comic books he designs so he can be close to Summer.

At the end of the episode Sandy and Kirsten are fighting, and Theresa tells Ryan it isn’t her baby. All in all this was a pretty good episode.

The Ellen De Generes Show

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

The Ellen De Generes talk show on the WB is entering into its third season. I think this is very entertaining for a talk show, and would definitely recommend that if you haven’t had a chance to see this show you should! Those of you who have seen movies like Finding Nemo and Ed TV know what a quirky fun personality Ellen has, and it really adds to her show. I really enjoy watching this show and if you like her sense of humor you should definitely check this show out.

If you are looking for something to watch in the morning before class, if you are a morning person, this show airs on the WB at 9 a.m. during the week.

Honey We’re Killing the Kids

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Honey We’re Killing the Kids is a new show on TLC that gives parents a shocking look at the problem with obesity in children. I think this is a good idea for a show because this is a really big problem with American families. However, I’m not sure how entertaining this will be for viewers to watch. One thing the show does use to help really influence parents of overweight children is a computer imaging software that allows them to show the parents what their children will look like when they are older. I think the message of this show is an excellent one and hopefully it will help parents to make better decisions when dealing with their children’s eating habits.

Tune in at 9 p.m. on TLC to see this show!

Hogan Knows Best

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

Hogan Knows Best is entering into its’ second season on VH1. If you haven’t got a chance to see this show yet it is actually pretty entertaining. It gives viewers a look inside Hulk Hogan’s life after his wrestling career. What makes this show funny, is the fact that Hogan is such an overprotective father. He goes to great lengths to protect his daughter. He even goes so far as to put a navigation tracker on the car that she uses to go out with a boy in, so he knows exactly where she is going. It makes his daughter, Brooke, mad that he shelters her but lets Nick have a lot more freedom even though he is younger. Its interesting to see how Hogan doesn’t really know what to do with himself outside of competitive wrestling.

This season on Hogan Knows Best, Hogan and Linda make Brooke and Nick get jobs because they feel they have been too spoiled. Also, Brooke struggles to gain more independence and has her first relationship with a boy. Hogan occupies his time with teaching Nick about the wrestling world and helping Brooke’s singing career take off. This show is different but in a good way so I would recommend watching it.

So NoTORIous

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

I had a chance to check out Tori Spelling’s new show, So Notorious on VH1, and I have to say that it is pretty bad. I think Spelling is trying to make a come back since she hasn’t really been in much since 90210, but this show doesn’t really seem like its going to help her do that. Spelling’s acting skills seem to be on the same level as when she played Donna in 90210. The story lines and acting in this are hard to watch and I don’t know if this show will be on the the air much longer.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

Is it just me or does Extreme Makeover Home Edition make anyone else sad whenever they watch it? They pick really deserving people and families to have their houses made over, but whenever they show their stories it almost makes me cry every time. When they show the families at the end and how happy they are that really gets to me.
This show really seems to make some families dreams come true and if this seems like something you would be interested in tune in Sundays at 7 p.m. on ABC.

Real World Drama

Tuesday, April 4th, 2006

On the last episode of the Real World the cast is preparing for the opening of their new work place, a tanning salon in Key West. The whole house gets in an argument about who should be manager. Svetlana thinks because she was a manager at her father’s pharmacy that she deserves it. However, Tyler tells the house that Svetlana is too young and immature, and noone will respect her has a manager.

When Zach decides to run for manager against her, Svetlana has a fit. At the end of the show the cast invite their supervisor over for dinner to solve the issue. Everyone votes for Zach to be manager and Jose to be assistant manager. Svetlana gets so upset that she walks up to Zach and gives him all of the stuff to do with the finances and refuses to do it anymore.

This episode was not really worth watching and was just a whole lot of drama.
