Doctor Shepard’s best friend (who had slept with his wife) came to Seattle to try to win Addison back. On his attractive friend’s arrival, Dr. Shepard punches him in the face. An adolescent with a face deformity needs surgery for a brain tumor and opts to have cosmetic surgery. The attractive friend persuades the hospital to let him perform the surgery even though it could cost the boy his life. The boy dies during the brain surgery, but that attractive doctor performs the plastic surgery to follow the boy’s wishes. At the end of the show he asks Addison to return to New York with him, but instead she goes home to her husband.

Throughout the show George talks about how he is so in love with Meridith but is scared to tell her. He tries to ask her out but she seems to not even hear him or notice him. At the end of the show he tells her he loves her and would never hurt her and they end up hooking up.

Dr. Burke realizes Christina still has her apartment and feels it is her way of not fully committing to him. In the end she gives up her apartment.

Izzie must deal with a patient who has spontaneous orgasms. Izzie doesn’t understand why the woman wants surgery to have this taken away. So Izzie satisfies her urges by sleeping with Dr. Karev and the woman gets the surgery.

Next week: Meridith regrets sleeping with George and fears she will lose all her friends. Things become awkward between the two at work. Meanwhile, Dr. Shepard assures her he will always be her friend even though he doesn’t know about her and George.
