film.JPG Bruce Willis and Mos Def star in the new movie 16 Blocks. This movie was released March 3, 2006. Bruce Willis plays Detective Jack Mosley an aging alcoholic. Jack Mosley is a different character for Bruce Willis. It is interesting to see Bruce Willis as an aging man having trouble walking up stairs. Mos Def also plays a different character than usual. In the movie Mos Def’s character, Eddie Bunker, is a nasal speaking criminal. These new types of characters that the two actors play make for a good film.

Manly Men in Tights

robinhood.jpeg The 1993 movie Robin Hood: Men in Tights is my favorite Mel Brooks directed comedy. This movie is a spoof on the original Robin Hood story. Throughout the movie there are numerous jokes made about other Robin Hood movies. The beginning of the movie starts with a small village burning. One of the villagers complains that every time a Robin Hood movie is made they burn down their village. There are many other jokes along these lines made at many different points during the movie.

From Dusk Till Dawn

bat.jpg For those of you that are Quentin Tarantino fans, From Dusk Till Dawn should be your next movie rental. Although the movie was not directed by Tarantino, however, Tarantino did act in the movie and wrote this one. The director of this movie was Robert Rodriguez. Some might recognize Rodriguez as one of the directors of Sin City. Rodriguez is also the director of the El Mariachi trilogy. Besides Tarantino, George Clooney, Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis also stared in the movie. This film is a really good dark comedy.
