My name is Rebecca Newkirk, but I go by Rebecca Porter on campus. Porter is my maiden name. I got married this last August. My husband teaches in the physics department at OSU. I however, have until December before I receive my undergraduate degree in Public Relations. My goal is to eventually become an event planner. Not a wedding planner though. I did that once and that is enough. I was lucky enough to work with a group last semester on a benefit concert for the American Red Cross. Our headlining band was Kunek. We were able to sell out the concert earning close to $3,000 for the American Red Cross. I hope that I am able to do more events like this in the future.
