Not only is Shyamalan a talented writer and director, but he can be seen doing cameos in many of his films. He can be seen as Haley Joel Osments doctor in The Sixth Sense. He can also be seen as Ray Reddy, an important character in Signs, opposite Mel Gibson. I will not say anything more about his part in Signs because I do not wish to give away a major part of the movie. I suggest that everyone should watch these two movies. While watching them I suggest trying to find Shyamalan’s characters in these films.

According to Wikipedia, Shyamalan artistic creative led him to participate in a Sci Fi channel mockumentary. The mockumentary was title The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan. The Sci Fi channel promoted the mockumenatry saying that Shyamalan was angry because too many of his secrets were being revealed. It turned out that the mockumenatry had been created to help promote Shyamalan’s 2004 movie, The Village. I think this was a great way to promote his movie. I honestly cannot believe he was able to get a cable station to create this form of promotion for the film.

M. Night Shyamalan is an incredible film maker. He has worked with the top names in movies, including Joaquin Phoenix, Julia Stiles, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson. I have yet to be disappointed with one of his films. I recommend every one of his films. Each movie has its own unique style. However, I would like to warn female viewers that Unbreakable is very much a guy film. Unbreakable may not be the best recommendation for females. I give one warning to every person viewing one of his films; do not go into any of the movies expecting it to be like the last. Unbreakable was not the same movie as The Sixth Sense, but some people watched it thinking this would be true. Each one of his films has been completely different. I am personal very excited about his upcoming film, The Lady in the water. This is one movie I will be planning to see the week it is released.
