To Avoid Further Confusion

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Just to clear up a little confusion, I rate these games myself. I do not use ratings or reviews from anybody else. Also I plan to post screenshots of the games I talk about from now on and promise to have more in depth reviews and ratings that are broken down into sections.

The sections of ratings will go as follows: On a scale of 1-to-10, 10 being Outstandingly Excellent (or whatever) and 1 being downright horrible crap, I will rate the game’s Graphics, Music/Sound, Game-play, and Fun/Replay Value.

Next I thought I’d explain how I’m even able to rate games anyway. I am pretty well off with money so it allows me to get my filthy little hands on new games. Combine that with the fact that my roommate is almost a perfect clone of me, and that our mutual friend also has more games than the 2 of us combined, you can imagine that it is very easy for me to get ahold of new games.

My last post and its pages were very bare-boned since a lot of the games I talked about had already been released for a while. I’m still getting my feet wet with this stuff and all and I hope to make it more bad-ass as I learn. Keep the comments coming. Peace to all!

The Good, the Bad, and the Rest of 2005

Sunday, January 29th, 2006

Since the new Year is merely 4 weeks old, I thought I would take this opportunity to review the PC games hits and misses of 2005. Some sites offered their best game of the year and I will do the same, however I will do the good and bad games in every category with ratings for each. Head on over to any of the following pages.

First Person Shooters 2005

Adventure 2005

Role Playing Games (RPG) 2005

Strategy 2005

Sports 2005

Action 2005

Sev’s Disillusioned World (of Video Games)

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

This is Sev’s blog page. You’ll notice Sev loves to speak of Sev’s self in the 3rd person…because that’s how Sev rolls. Anyways that’s neither here nor there.

Sev owns a Gamecube, PS2, PSX, N64, SNES, NES, Gameboy, Genesis, Game Gear, and Sev’s Atari still works for God’s sake. Sev is boycotting XBox and XBox 360 due to the fact that Sev thinks Microsoft sucks in the console business, and should stick to PC’s. Besides, their just too damn clunky and heavy and they flat out suck sideways two times.

This blog however will focus primarily on PC games. Sev has a monstrous PC. For all the nerds out there Sev has an Athlon 64 FX-57 processor, 1.2 gigs of RAM, 3.5 GHz speed, 150 gig HD, and an nVidia GeForce 7800 GTX OC video card with surround sound Altec Lansing speakers and an LCD 30 inch Compaq Monitor.

Sev considers himself quite an authority on the gaming community and will rate a few games each week as well as reminisce over games Sev has loved and still loved. Let Sev know what you think. Peace to all! (P.S. I really won’t be talking in the 3rd person from here on out because it just seems stupid.)
