I personally loved the first and second Grand Theft Auto games. The birds eye view and the crappy 16 bit graphics...it was just so fun and free and violent and I gotta say that those 2 were in fact the first in the famed series...which would be nowhere near what it is now without them. I was definatly spoiled in that I played those 2 games first and then the 3-D sequels. I was blown away, but I always love poppin the classics back in every now and then for some 16 bit violent action. I would like to get in on this Playstation tangent. I guess I would have to say Industry Giant sucked pretty bad. I also wasn't too happy with Monopoly for PC. I was more of a stategy gamer more than a shoot-em-up type. I can probably offer a better idea of what PS2 games sucked. I was disappointed with the first installments of GTA. The birds-eye view ones, not the third-person ones. Of course, I bought them after I had played the third-person ones so I had been spoiled. I was also really disappointed with The Getaway. I didn't like how they structured it from the beginning. They didn't allow you explore on your own between missions. It didn't give me a chance to learn the controls and the layout of the city, which made it even more difficult. The graphics were pretty good and the version of London they created was really cool but it was useless to me until I beat it which I never did, because I got tired of dying all the time.
