Pasta Alfredo

I got this recipe from a Pampered Chef party. It is delicious!

Ingredients:

1 pkg (16 ounces) uncooked pasta

1 1/2 cups of heavy cream

1 1/2 cups of milk

3 tbsps of butter or margarine

3 tbsps of all-purpose flour

2 cups (8 ounces) grated fresh Parmesan cheese

Salt and ground white pepper to taste

First cook pasta according to package directions; drain and keep warm. Second, combine cream and milk in a small saucepan and heat until warm, do not boil. Remove from heat and set aside. Third, melt butter in a different small saucepan, then whisk flour into butter until smooth. Add cream mixture all at once to flour mixture, whisking constantly until sauce is slightly thickened, whisking constantly. Fourth, Remove sauce from heat. Add parmesan cheese, salt and white pepper, whisk until smooth. Toss with hot pasta; server immediately.

Add grilled chicken if you prefer.

 Serves about 8
