Hooray for America, Now Follow Through

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

I am writing this because for the first time in a while, I am happy for America. I am happy because people actually spoke with their vote this time. It is abundantly obvious that this country needed a change. American displeasure with the way our beloved country has been ran has been swelling and it all came to a head this Tuesday when voters not only gave Democrats the control of the House, but also the Senate. The graphics on the “O’Reilly” factor on two separate occasions misidentified him as a Democrat. Now I may be playing devil’s advocate, but does it not seem convenient that Foley would be incorrectly labeled a Democrat on an infamously conservative and Republican-leaning “news” show, especially this close to a tightly-contested election year? Who knows, but according to Media Matters, the “O’Reilly Factor” never made any corrections to this mistake. (more…)
