Wii Sports: Bowling Review

The last of my five part series is actually my favorite one as well. Bowling takes the sport of bowling to new heights by allowing players to simulate their bowling throws with pretty decent accuracy.

With a flick of the wrist the ball is sent spinning in one direction or the other. It suits players from adept to beginners by allowing the thrower to do a quick flick of the wrist to throw the ball or the always-more-fun mimicry of an actual bowling toss.

Relying on nothing more than the motion-sensing control and the back trigger B button, the player holds the control upright, and selects the position in the lane and how much turn initially the ball will have. After pressing the B button, the player arcs the control back like a bowling ball and launches it forward by letting go of the B trigger.

Since the game is easily played by anyone with a slight idea of what bowling is, and is accurate enough to get the slight nuances of the wrist, this game gets an A+. As well as being able to play 4 player out of the box by passing the control around!
