Put away your air guitar.

November 20th, 2006

I am not much of a gamer. I guess I get bored too easily with most games. I actually tend to be more attracted to the stupid, online flash games. You know, the ones that are mindless and an incredible waste of time?

However, lately, there has been one game that I have enjoyed quite a bit and its sequel was released recently.

O.J. is a big, fat dummy-head.

November 17th, 2006

In short, O.J. Simpson is an awful person, but you may read on if that does not tell you enough. It really should though. That is pretty much the entire story wrapped up in eight words.

Maddox>You

November 17th, 2006

So, there is a lot of crap floating out there on the ol’ internet, and I suppose that’s because there is a lot of crap walking around on this here planet, i.e. stupid people. However, there are a few gems lurking out there. This is one of them, albeit an obscenity-laced gem.

I have been a fan of Maddox ever since his post critiquing children’s art work, along with its follow-up. He is incredibly narcissistic and, at times, offensive (or all the time), and yet, he still makes me laugh quite often. You should check out his site occasionally. He doesn’t update that often, but here are a couple snippets (edited for content, of course):

Way to be creative, TV executives.

November 16th, 2006

Do you ever turn on the TV and think the same show is on every single channel? I sure do, and it seems the main culprits of this are “Law and Order” and “CSI,” along with their various spinoffs.

James Bond has a poop mouth.

November 16th, 2006

As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I am rather excited about the new Bond film. I actually plan on watching it tomorrow. It appears that this one will, for better or worse, ditch some of the cheese that has been prevalent in the past. I am not one of the many who has been ridiculing the choice of Daniel Craig as the successor to Pierce Brosnan, but here is an interview where he lashes out at some of his detractors. He is quite the master of the English language, no?

There are quite a few movies I am really looking forward to. These are few off the top of my head.

Good TV, where are you hiding?

November 14th, 2006

I don’t watch much television. It’s hard for me to get into any particular show because I miss too many episodes. I either forget to watch or I am just too dang busy, and by “busy,” I mean “lazy.” Therefore, most of my time in front of the TV is spent watching sports or reruns of “That 70s Show.” Every once in a while, I catch an episode of “Jeopardy” too. However, there has been one show I have consistently watched the past two years.

Attention n3rds: Unleash the full power of your mind.

November 9th, 2006

Maybe I am just getting old, but this type of thing, while incredibly fascinating, is more than a little frightening.

Prize Fighter

As an addendum to my Coheed and Cambria post, I am going to try to give a brief summary of my initial impression of the first album from The Prize Fighter Inferno.

Cover your face.

November 6th, 2006

Oh, cover songs, how I love/hate you. Nothing gets people more riled up than someone covering one of their favorite songs and doing, what they consider, a poor job. It’s a pretty tricky proposition. Nobody is going to remake a bad song unless it’s for a comedic purpose. Therefore, no matter how well they cover it, some people will despise it, and that’s just how it is.
