Don’t Eat Me Please!

I thought it was fitting to talk about political pets becuase of the upcoming elections. As far back as 1789, there has been 37 presidents that have had a dog they have enjoyed as a great companion. President Bush has two beloved Scottish Terriers “Barney” and “Miss Beazely” who he is very fond of. They have been in the news as much as Bush, they even have their own web site dedicated to them. When people see the president with them, his image was put into a better light and his ratings went up. This just goes to show that America has a big place in their hearts for dogs.
If all of you pet lovers have been waiting for a great pet store to open, it has finally come. It is a huge pet store with everything you could imagine. They have food, clothes, accessories, bedding and even grooming. If you are looking for a one-stop pet shop, this is the place to go. I have already been several times and have enjoyed every visit, I think it is because you can take your dog with you. The dogs get really excited and it is a bonding experience for both you and your dog. I went this Sunday and I had my dog Bailey, along with my parents dog Ellie, a huge golden retriever. As we were walking around, Ellie started taking treats from the shelves and eating them. I was mortified, she was stealing who would have known. Finally we went to check out and I had to tell the cashier that my dog had stolen and told him what she had devoured in a matter of minutes. Lets just say this will be the last time I take Ellie shopping.
I have found that researchers believe that dogs and their owners can resemble eachother. However, only with pure-breeds, not mixed breeds. Strangers can almost always match the dogs with their owners if given pictures. People cannot decide what factors are responsible for the similarities, whether it be physical or stylistic. It is probably a mixture of both of these factors. I will let you be the judge!
As halloween is approaching, I have really been wondering what I should dress Bailey, my miniture schnauzer up as. This I’m sure sounds silly , but in fact many people do it and spend a lot of money. I am going to give you a web site for great costumes for your furry friend. I would purchase your costume as soon as you can to make sure you get it in time and that it will fit. Also it is important that you get your dog a costume that they will enjoy wearing.
Believe it or not a dog named George swallowed a very vital part of his owner’s electronic car key. George swallowed the immobiliser, which is a lot like a battery mechanism to start the car. The owner of the dog must now take George everywhere in order to start the car. George is really enjoying spending so much time with his owner and gets to sit shottie. Now the owner is waiting for George to pass the immobiliser. As of now, George is loving life with his head out of the window.
I was searching for funny stories about dogs and found a hilarious story about a dog crashing while trying to drive a car. I have linked a story about a car crash that took place in China. Even though you think your dog may be smart and understands, try not to put your life and the life of others in danger. If you do feel the need to have your dog drive your car, find a secluded place to try to spare the lives of others. In the future dogs may be able to drive, but for now just let them hang out the window.
