House training your new puppy is very important.  It will have an impact on the way you and your dog interact with one another.  It is vital to start the training process as early as you can.  Remember that it is so important that you treat your dog with patience and care,  this is a very important time in your dogs life so do not take it for granted.  Below are ten tips to help you house train your puppy.

1.  Establish a bathroom spot, make sure it is easily accesible at all times.

2.  Take your puppy potty every 45 minutes.

3.  When leaving your puppy unsupervised, make sure you put them in a small area that also has a toilet area.

4.  Make sure the toilet area does not resemble anything in your home, do not confuse your puppy.

5.  Feed your dog at the same time everyday, that way they can establish a routine.

6.  Use a crate, they will not have an accident in their bed area.  It also makes them feel secure and safe.

7.  Reward with treats, toys or praise.

8.  Do not yell or punish your puppy if he has an accident, this will make him distant and afraid.

9.  Do not let your puppy run all over your house until he/she is completely trained.

10.  Patience and Persistance are the key elements!
