Sugarland is never settling with anything less than the absolute best! “Settlin” is their new song at #6 on the countdown and it is a fun track! I love to sing it really loud and dance around. That is how many of their songs are, and this hit is nothing different. Their album is awesome as well!

Danielle Peck with her song “Isn’t That Everything,” is #18 this week. I have not really made up my mind yet about this one, I like the song but I think it is going to take me hearing it a few more times before I make up my mind about it. She is a cute girl that seems to have a lot of potential and I look forward to seeing what she will come up with next.

Making her way onto the countdown is Allison Krauss with “Missing You.” A deep and heart-felt tune that definately deserves a shot at #1. This is truly a great song and coming from Allison Krauss, that is no surprise. I would certainly check out her new album, I have heard nothing but good things about it.

Bucky is not the only American Idol to be among the top twenty this week, he is just a few spots down from Miss Carrie Underwood. I don’t think anyone will argue that Carrie has truely lived up to her title as the American Idol. She is unstoppable with hits like, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” “Before He Cheats” and now “Wasted,” which some of her fans say is her best song yet. Who ever would have believed that a little girl out of Oklahoma would not only be one the most acclaimed female artists in country music, but also such a role model to her younger audiences around the world. Carrie is at #13 this week but I have no doubt she will be making it to the top five at least!

Taylor Swift, the youngest on the countdown coming in at #15 this week with “Teardrops on My Guitar.” She is fairly new to the world of country music but has more than proven that she fits right in. This I believe is her third hit on the countdown just in the past two years. She is beautiful, energetic, talented and the fans love her. Her song, “Tim McGraw” was a huge hit with her younger fan base because not only could they relate to it, but also most of them are fans of Tim as well. I really can’t wait to see what she will do next.

Sliding into the top five this week is Gretchen Wilson with “Come to Bed.” I was not sure about this song at first but now it is beginning to grow on me. It is certainly a creative video that any true romantic would appreciate. Her cd is in stores now and I have not checked it out myself, but from what I have heard from her in the past, I am sure that it is great!

Kellie Pickler is still in the mix with her song “Red High Heels.” A southern cutie with an innocent smile, but don’t let her fool you… this chick has an attitude with those heels!
