“Stupid Boy” is falling off the charts at #20, but it certainly had a great run. Keith has had a real tough year with his rehab, marriage and new album, but he has still got it! Something tells me if he can with stand all of those trials and still bust out a hit, this won’t be the last we hear of him!

Joe Nichols is just shy of the #1 spot this week, but he is not there yet. “I’ll Wait For You,” is a real emotional song, one that really brings tears to your eyes. Its sentiment is about a couple in love and is arguably one of his best yet.

Dierks Bentley is finally #1, after a “Long Trip Alone” to the top. His fans are ecstatic to see his progress and I for one am thrilled that his song is doing so well, as it is one of my very favorites. He has had so many great songs over the past few years, all of which have been on the countdown at some point and this is just another one for the books!

“Moments,” by Emerson Drive is a real sweet song and has a lot of feeling in it. I first heard this song driving to Oklahoma from Texas and I just loved it. I have yet to hear the other songs by this group but I look forward to checking up on them and finding out what they are all about.

Coming in this week at #5 is an old favorite of mine, Pat Green! He has so many great songs that I don’t feel have ever received the recognition they deserve but this one has certainly made it. It’s softer and sweeter than what we are used to hearing from Pat but all the same, it’s like it says in the title.. “Dixie Lullaby.”

Toby Keith sings about a beautiful “High Maintenance Women” who does not need some maintenance man. It’s such a funny song and I would expect nothing less from Toby Keith
. He has got to be one of the goofiest guys out there and he sure loves to sing about it. This music video is a riot and I highly suggest scoping it out.

American Idol member, Bucky Covington shocks the country world with his new song, “A Different World!” Bucky did not make it all the way in the show but by working his way up to the #1 spot, he is proving to himself and his fans that this truely is a different world. I am really curious to see what he will do with this song as well as accomplish. I have not heard much about his cd but I know it is in stores now and from what the countdown says, he is doing pretty well for himself!

“Summertime,” by Kenny Chesney is #10 this week and it came along just in time. Kenny is well known to the countdown and often has songs in it, and this time is no different. It’s a fun song to sing and dance to, and really puts me in the mood for summer!

This week on the countdown Tim McGraw is creeping up to #11 with “Last Dollar.” Tim is an old favorite of mine and I hope to hear a lot more from him as the years go on. He has a great mainstream country sound to him and never ceases to churn out a hit. With so many platinum records under his belt, I have no doubt that his new album will be nothing short of amazing! I look forward to hearing more off of it.

This week coming in at #5 is a legend, Hank Williams Jr. and his song “A Country Boy Can Survive!” Surely everyone has heard this song on the radio once or twice. Also, to be from someone like Hank is truely a wonderful thing, he is most assuredly one of the big dogs and endlessly following in his father’s footsteps! The countdown and his fans are glad to have him inching towards the top this week! Can’t wait to see what he does next!
