Accidental Overdose

anna The official cause of Anna Nicole Smith’s death is accidental overdose, authorities announced Monday. “We found nothing to indicate foul play,” Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger announced at a press conference this morning. “This case is an accidental overdose with no other criminal elements present and this effectively closes the case on Anna Nicole Smith.”

Meanwhile, Smith’s former partner, Howard K. Stern, and her ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, are battling over custody of her daughter, six-month-old Dannielynn Smith. Both claim to be the father of the child. Birkhead recently took a DNA test in order to prove paternity. Stern is appealing to stop the DNA results from being read at the trial, which resumes April 3.

Beckham’s Knee Injury!

david Soccer star David Beckham suffered an injury to his right knee during a game on Sunday.

The Real Madrid midfielder, who signed a $250 million contract to play for the L.A. Galaxy in January, was hurt when he collided with an advertising sign while playing at home against Getafe. After the injury, Beckham tried to continue playing, but ended up limping off the field.

Beckham was later diagnosed with damaging the lateral internal ligament of his right leg and is undergoing further tests Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

Anna Nicole’s Final Goodbye!

aa Anna Nicole Smith will be remembered Friday in the Bahamas in a service befitting her flamboyant life.

About 300 guests will attend the service at a church filled with pink flowers – her favorite color – and a well-known but as-yet undisclosed singer will perform, a family friend said. A dozen dresses have been designed for Smith, the custom gown in which she will be buried in is very elegant.

Florida Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin last week granted custody of Smith’s body to Richard Milstein, the court-appointed advocate for Smith’s 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn. Arthur, Anna’s mother, had contested the ruling, saying she wanted to bury her daughter in their home state of Texas.

A Farewell To Anna Nicole

anna-nicole.jpg Anna Nicole Smith, age 39, was pronounced dead February 8 on Thursday. The former Playboy model whose flamboyant made-for-reality-TV life featured paternity and inheritence battles, drug and weight struggles, and her son’s mysterious death, died in Hollywood, Florida.

Smith died five months after her 20-year-old son, Daniel, died in his mother’s Bahamas hospital room. Daniel’s death came just three days after Smith gave birth to daughter Dannielynn Hope. After the news of Smith’s death, an emergency hearing was scheduled to occur in Los Angeles on Friday regarding the paternity of Dannielynn.
