My Trip to Bizen

Last summer, in July 2006, I visit the city of Kurashiki, Okayama prefecture. It is very old city and many Bizen potters still live in Kurashiki. The place called Yokohama is where I live. Before I went to Kurashiki, I stopped at the city named Kyoto. The city has many oldest, traditional style of temples and shrines in Japan and therefore famous and popular for sightseeing. After that, I stopped at Kobe and Himeji. The city of Kobe has a long history of cross-cultural communication with foreign countries. Himeji was one of the largest cities in Japan for some hundred years ago. There is a castle called “Shirasagi” (”The White Heron Castle”), designated as a world heritage. Here are some notes and pictures of my “Japanese traditional beauty” trip.
