Allen’s investment makes park possible

Paul and Joan Allen the parents of David Allen. David Allen Memorial Ballpark, which opened the American Legion State Tournament on Aug. 4, 1999, was inspired by local baseball fans, designed and constructed by mostly local builders, and financed by the Allen family in a sentimental tribute to their late son.
