Too Many to Decide

islands islands Croatia consists of 1,000 different islands! You can travel to the islands by a ferry and many of them contain a little city that you can visit. The two most popular ones are Brac and Hvar. Both of these islands have their own city and beach. I suggest you go to these little islands because the beaches there are spectacular. Plus, the beaches by the resorts are not made of soft sand but of small pebbles so it is not very comfortable to walk on.  But, the beaches on the mainland are full of large rock cliffs, which is beautiful, and they’re great for cliff diving, which many tourists and locals find very enjoyable.

Swim with the Fishes

If you decide that Atlantis is the vacation spot for you, I strongly urge you to go to Dolphin Cay. This is where you get to swim with the dolphins. This is an amazing experience that I will definitely remember for a lifetime and I know you will too. The one obstacle that might cause a problem is the price. It’s not a cheap experience, but I would definitely say that is worth every penny.

dolphins There are two different groups that you can be apart of to see the dolphins. In the first group, you get in a small pool with the dolphins and get to pet them while the instructor does a few tricks with them and tells you some interesting dolphin facts (this group is about half the price of the other). The other group that you can participate in is the one where you put on a wet suit and actually get to swim with the dolphins. During this, the instructor does unbelievable tricks with the dolphins while you’re right there in the mix.  In some tricks you get to be part of the show!  A trick every person in the group gets to do is the one when the dolphin comes up behind you and lifts you up out of the water by your feet with his nose. It’s such a rush and you go so fast. It makes you feel like you are flying across the water. This entire experience lasts 90-120 minutes but it feels like five seconds, so make sure you take a waterproof camera and capture the adventure as much as possible!

Dolphin Cay is located on a small island of the Bahamas outside the city of Atlantis. This is where they train the dolphins since birth and where some natives from the island live. There on the beach are a few natives that offer to braid you hair. This is a fun little thing to do on the island while you wait to go back to Atlantis.

A Summertime Splash

water slide Atlantis is located at the top of Paradise Island, which is surrounded by the massive Atlantic Ocean. From almost every part of the city, you can see the ocean and feel its nice cool breeze. If you’re not a huge fan of salt water and a little terrified of the creatures you could come across while taking a dip, Atlantis has recently built the largest water themed attraction in the world just for your pleasure. Aquaventure is an amazing water park with a mile long river-ride with intense rapids, waves, and never-before-seen special effects. This ride lets you stay in the river as long as you wish with never having the get out of your tube. One rapid after another keeps you occupied and entertained all in one sitting. Atlantis also offers the Power Tower and the Mayan Temple. Both of these places have multiple high dropping water slides. When I went to Atlantis, there was just the Mayan Temple. These water slides were so much fun, but supposedly the Power Tower and the river-ride are much more enjoyable. Don’t forget there are five massive pools surrounding the city, so if you had a long night and just want to chill by the pool, there is no problem finding a beach chair and taking an afternoon nap.

South African Beaches

beach The country of South Africa is mostly known for its wild life, but there’s definitely more to see. South Africa is located at the southern-most tip of the continent of Africa and is surrounded by the South Atlantic Ocean. You know what comes with an ocean? That’s right, BEACHES ! The country has four major coves called the Cliftons that are most popular among tourists and the natives. Clifton 4th is by far the most beautiful but there’s one catch to getting to Clifton 4th…you have to pass through Clifton 2nd. Clifton 2nd, I’d say, is one of the most “unusual” beaches of South Africa because some like to call it, the Nude Beach. Hint: South Africa is on the other side of the world so don’t forget that the seasons are switched. If you plan to go to the beach everyday, travel there over winter break, not the summer!
