Crazy Croatia
The beautiful country of Croatia is located in Europe between Bosnia and Slovenia. It is on the coast of the Adriatic Sea and consists of 1,000 islands. If you plan to stay near the coast, don’t worry about the time of year because the weather is ideal year round. The coldest it gets is about 50 degrees during the winter near the coast, but it snows further inland near the mountains.
If you’re looking for a younger crowd that’s laid back, I suggest you stay in the city of Split. This is located on the coast of Croatia and is known as the party place of the country. You can find countless clubs and bars.
If you would rather see the historic side of Croatia and are not a big beach fan, stay in Zagreb. This is the capital of Croatia and is the place where you can find many monuments.
Croatia has its own currency, which is called kuna. The ratio to the U.S. dollar is about one dollar to seven kunas. Watch out if you’re a sucker for designer clothes and accessories! The boutiques are extremely expensive and could cause you to be stuck in the country with no money for a ride home.
