JB 2183 - Principles of Public Relations
An introduction to the history, development and current practice of public relations as a process in building relationships between organizations and publics.
JB 3283 - PR Communications Methods
An analysis and application course focused on the communications methods and techniques used in the practice of public relations.
Prerequisites: 2003 with “C” or better, 2183 with “C” or better, minimum grade of 70 on Language Exam.
JB 3600 - PR Internship
Internship practice for qualified public relations students who wish creative communications experience beyond that available in the classroom.
Prerequisites: 3283 with grade of “C” or better, minimum grade of 70 on Language Exam; consent of instructor. 1-3 credits, maximum of 3
JB 4123 - PR Crisis Communications
The nature of the organizational crisis and the techniques for preparing crisis communications plans for various types of organizations.
Prerequisites: 2003 with “C” or better, 3283 with “C” or better, minimum grade of 70 on Language Exam.
JB 4493 - Advanced PR Media
An advanced application course in planning, researching, writing, editing and designing of materials used in public relations communications. Lab 2.
Prerequisites: 3263 with grade”C” or better, 3283 with grade “C” or better, minimum grade of 70 on Language Exam.
JB 4843 - PR Research and Campaigns
Capstone course requiring public relations students to prepare a public relations campaign involving the public relations process; research, planning, communications and evaluation.
Prerequisites: 3283 with “C” or better, minimum grade of 70 on Language Exam.
