A note on this Web site’s content

So far, the vast majority of the effort I’ve put into building this Web site has been focused on the content placed on the site, rather than the design. This means two things:

  1. I’m almost done with the minimum number of items needed for this class project.
  2. The design of my site is fairly poor and generally uninteresting.

I’ll soon by wrapping up the new entries on The Sports Journal and shifting my focus toward improving the look and accessibility of the site, but first, here’s some notes on the sources of this Web site’s content:

  • The main source is the Daily O’Collegian at Oklahoma State University. I’m a sports writer for the O’Colly, and all entries under OSU Athletics are articles that I originally wrote for the O’Colly. Check out the The O’Colly Web site for more sports articles by myself and others (Grant Belcher, in particular, is a very strong writer who’s getting better all the time).  While you’re there, please comment on the articles.  The vast majority of the site’s comments seem to come on issues about the Quran and illegal immigration, but we sports writers would love some feedback too.
  • Other entries I wrote specifically for this site on various sports issues I found interesting.  I’m a big fan of pro baseball and football (though not pro basketball), and don’t really get to tackle such topics at the O’Colly, where we try to focus on OSU sports, so I’ve enjoyed getting to share my thoughts on the NFL and MLB.  Even though I’m aware few people are reading, it’s still better than just talking to myself and looking crazy.
