Longboard surfing
When talking about longboarding on a skateboard people will often mistake the term “longboarding” as meaning surfing. This is of course because the sport of surfing, like skating, has a longboard. The two sports are similar in that the short boards for both skating and surfing are intended for aerial tricks and sharps turns where as longboards are intended for slower, smoother rides. It is easier to longboard than it is to short board in both sports, however longboarding on the street hurts much worse when you fall. Here is a picture of a longboard used for surfing.
