Longboarding races
Although longboarding is most enjoyable as a recreational sport, it can be exhilarating to compete against friends and foes. This picture is an example of a longboarding race. As you can see helmets are required if you are racing. One can reach up to 40 mph in a race like this and if you were to fall off your board, the result could be extremely painful or even deadly. It is impossible to find a place to race in Stillwater simply because it is flat and there are no parking garages in close proximity. Races can be extremely dangerous. When you sliding through a turn at 40 mph and another competitor clips you, a wipe out usually ensues. If you are wanting to participate in an event like this I would recommend plenty of practice and expect a lot of pain.
