Recommended pads
Skateboarding can be a dangerous sport in terms of falling on the hard pavement or running head-on with a moving car. Either way, it is recommended that you wear pads when skating. Even professional skaters wear pads. In some states it is a law that the person skating must wear at least a helmet. If you see the video on one of the previous pages on this site you will see a kid crash, but he is wearing a helmet and without it, he most likely would have suffered some pretty serious injuries.
