The basics of a longboard
The longboard can be broken down into three basic parts. The wheels, the trucks and the deck. This board is a Sector 9 33.37-inch board. Sector 9 is probably the most popular brand of board available. The wheels on this board are 69-mm in diameter. The larger the wheel the easier it is to skate over cracks and bumps. The trucks are the silver pieces that attach the wheels to the board. These trucks are Gullwing Sidewinder Series. Gullwing is typically the stock brand of trucks on Sector 9 boards. It’s worth it to upgrade from these trucks. The wider the trucks the harder it is to turn, but if the trucks are to thin, it is harder to glide across the pavement.
