Costume Ideas

Halloween is fast-approaching and it’s difficult to say which I’m looking forward to more– the candy or the costume. No, I don’t trick-or-treat any more. I am twenty-one years old. Of course what is age considering I still read comics and watch cartoons on a daily basis. Yikes.

Moving on… Just because I don’t trick-or-treat doesn’t mean I can’t dress up for my favorite holiday. There are such things as Halloween parties. (Although I’m pretty sure that if I didn’t go to a party, I’d still wear a costume. This is definitely a blog for sharing.) And the candy? Yeah I just buy that. Sure I hand out some to greedy little children, but I also buy my own stash because I have an addiction. Let’s just say I get it all for the kids, and I just so happen to luck out because there is always a significant amount remaining.

One of the biggest issues to face each Halloween is what to wear. Everyone wants the best costume. Whether they are hoping to achieve hilarity or creepiness, most people don’t want to show up looking like the guy next to him/her. It’s no surprise that comic characters are a popular route. They’re awesome. I happen to love seeing very malnourished individuals in the padded suits. Don’t judge, I know you laugh too. Even I have attempted the super hero look, and let’s just say spandex is a huge mistake for overweight fifth graders. I blame my mother for letting me think I looked good.

If you plan on acquiring some extraordinary powers this year, here are a few good costume sites you can check out for ideas and/or ordering:
