Think Marvel houses your dream job— even though you aren’t comic-knowledgeable at all? Well, that’s okay, you don’t have to be. Marvel Entertainment goes above and beyond, and they aren’t always specifically looking for “comic people.”
Here’s a great article of an example of great Marvel employee who wasn’t particularly comic-savvy before her time at the company: Things I Didn’t Know About Comics When I Started Working Here

Interested in a Marvel internship or future job position? Yeah, they’re out there. You just have to apply online. Now if you’re thinking that with how many comic geeks there are surfing the Web, there’s no way you’ll get picked for even an interview– well, think again. I myself applied last year for a summer internship, just for the hell of it. My GPA is not superb, and I heard that only twenty get accepted each semester. Yeah, yikes. But I got a call for an interview. The human resources representative asked if I could be in New York for a week… and of course I said yes. Now, I didn’t get the internship, but the experience alone of just being invited up to the Marvel floors of building 417 (yes, you seriously have to be invited– they buzz you in) was mind-blowing. The whole time I was there I just wanted to steal stuff. I don’t doubt the guy who interviewed me saw that greedy look on my face every time I glanced at a new wall or the Marvel action figures positioned in various fighting poses on everyone’s desks. So, go for it.
