Jim Henson

Jim Henson is responsible for entertaining billions of people worldwide thanks to his wide variety of muppets.

He is best known for Kermit The Frog. He was the creator, voice actor, and puppeteer for Kermit. There was a time when Henson thought about giving up on his work with puppets but after a trip to Europe he saw some street performers using puppets which helped inspire him to get back to his work.

Jim Henson was nominated for an Academy Award for his cover of the song “The Rainbow Connection” as Kermit The Frog during the beginning of The Muppet Movie.

He also voiced the puppets Rolf the dog, Dr. Teeth, Gonzo, the original Cookie Monster (whose name is Sid) Ernie and the Swedish Chef.

Henson is one of two people who has two stars on the Hollywood walk of fame. One as himself and the other as Kermit The Frog. The other person who has two stars is Mel Blanc as himself and Bugs Bunny.
