About this page
The Melted Pen investigates and spreads out stories of student journalists whose press rights were violated. Everyday around the globe, a reporter, a student publication or a columnist becomes victim of censorship and threat. Our goal is to make these stories public and make our readers conscious about this regretful matter.
Press censorship usually happens when journalists present facts or opinions that could affect represive governments, powerful figures or groups of interest. Students might prescence censorship in their own schools. Controversy, scandal, obscenity and rebelliousness are common names given to news stories, features, photographs and columns that show a different perspective of the status quo.
We don’t want your money, we don’t want your name, we ask for a fraction of your time. Read our stories and spread them out. We’ll appreciate your feedback as well.
The Melted Pen also gives a voice to those who were forced to be slient. If you were censored while working as a journalist, join our site. We understand and support you.
