World’s Largest Pool
Sunday, April 6, 2008
The worlds largest pool was built in the Chilean resort San Alfonso del Mar. The pool is 1 km long and is filled with 250,000 cubic meters of salt water. The price to build the pool was $1 billion and costs $4 million a year on maintainance.
If swimming isn’t enough the pool also provides an indoor beach, kayaking, sailing, scuba diving and a water shuttle service that quickly get you to the other end of the resort.
