A new station
So, around summer 2004 I became a bit addicted to these new commercials that were playing for the Gameboy DS.
I thought the musician in one of the songs was Gwen Stefani, who was due to release her first album later that year. I was surprised to find out the song was my Goldfrapp, who has a voice very similar to Stefani’s.
The song is “Strict Machine.” It is very electronic and in a way, romantic. I’m not really sure what it is about this song but it always takes me back to the summer before I started college. I like songs that can take me on a journey.
I started a station based on Goldfrapp. I added Nouvelle Vague as well. It has proved pretty interesting. And, its no surprise. Goldfrapp spawns Stefani and No Doubt. She sounds so much like Stefani…
