Lyrical beauty

“Melt Into the Walls” by Pilate (now known as Pilot Speed) is an amazing song.

Every time I listen, I just take a deep breath and take it all in. Its really a beautifully-written, romantic song.

Although it seems a bit ironic, bittersweet and melancholy, this song is just so amazingly well written. Its tragedy, but also love.

When I hear lyrics like, “I’ll drink you slow, I’ll drink you slow but for a price, / Water turns to poison and loving touch gives way to lonely nights / It’s a fine white line, it’s a fine white line you’re stumbling across, / You’ll melt into the walls, melt into the walls / Your time has run out, your time has run out, / They lied, they lied baby, and I tried I tried lately…,” I just get so wrapped up in the music.

I honestly think this was one of the second or third songs Pandora played for me. I never get sick of it. I get this great feeling every time I hear it.
